“I am excited to be part of such an innovative project. Bringing showers to people experiencing homelessness helps them find work and purpose. ” said Tammy Bellofatto, Executive Director of Bayaud Enterprises.
Those experiencing homelessness and poverty may find it difficult to get clean clothes, or a shower. This limits the ability to look for work, find housing and live a mainstream life. Bayaud’s Laundry Trucks supports the diginity of our neighbors in need. Now the Shower Truck will also give people a fresh start with the ability to bring showers to where they are most needed.
“Through conversations with people emerging from homelessness, we heard a clear need for single stall showers, so we decided to expand our mobile services. We know that positive hygiene and no-barrier services can help people meet their basic needs on their path to emerging from poverty. Through this service, we hope to make Denver a more welcoming and accessible city for people experiencing homelessness.” said Riley Cockrelll, Mobile Services Manager Bayaud Enterprises.
For over 50 years Bayaud Enterprises has been a community innovator, reducing hurdles for people to find work and community.
