The Denver Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of the executive search firm Bridge Partners (bridgepartnersllc.com) to help identify the organization’s next President and CEO. Bridge Partners will work closely with the Foundation’s Search Committee, composed of current and former members of the Board of Trustees and a staff member representative, to conduct a broad search for the Foundation’s next leader.
Bridge Partners is a minority-owned business that has had a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity since the firm was founded in 2003. Bridge Partners conducts searches for for-profit companies and nonprofit organizations both nationally and internationally and recently led a search in Boulder County. Past clients include Habitat for Humanity, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and The Starbucks Foundation. Janet Albert, Partner, and Larry Griffin, Partner and Co-Founder, will lead The Denver Foundation’s search.
“Our goal is to select the very best candidate to lead and honor the historical work of The Denver Foundation, while advancing systems, processes and programs that will help us to better serve communities, donors, team members, and partners,” says Trustee Nita Mosby Tyler, Co-Chair of the Executive Search Committee.
“Our national search will model important components of racial equity. As a first step, we intentionally selected a search firm rooted in diversity and inclusion,” says Trustee Betsy Mangone, Co-Chair of the Executive Search Committee. “Bridge Partners will help us shape a process that will be representative of all of our stakeholder groups, and examine a slate of diverse candidates as we make this important decision.”
In the coming weeks, The Denver Foundation and Bridge Partners will conduct focus groups with a range of community stakeholders across sectors, including leaders of nonprofit organizations, professional advisors, philanthropists, and government leaders. Feedback from these focus groups will inform a leadership profile for prospective candidates and a job description for the incoming President and CEO.
The Denver Foundation hopes to have a new leader in place by summer 2019. Former Board Chair and Trustee Virginia Bayless was tapped to serve as Interim President and CEO in August 2018.
