Denver, CO-- Virginia “Ginny” Bayless will serve as interim President and CEO of The Denver Foundation, the largest and most experienced community foundation in Colorado, as the organization launches a search for a new leader.
Drawing upon her extensive background in business and finance, Ms. Bayless will lead in partnership with the Foundation’s executive team, which has a combined 40+ years of experience at the organization.

Ms. Bayless is a former Chair of The Denver Foundation’s Board of Trustees and a current member of its Investment Committee. She helped the Foundation implement challenging elements of a ten-year strategic plan, adopted in 2012, and also co-led the development of new initiatives, including opportunities for donors to engage in impact investing. With her husband, Rob, Ms. Bayless is an active donor and member of the philanthropic community in Metro Denver.
In the coming weeks, the Foundation will begin an executive search to identify its next President and CEO. During this time of transition, The Denver Foundation remains firmly rooted in Metro Denver and deeply committed to its mission.
Virginia Bayless Bio - Virginia Bayless has over 25 years of investment banking, financial advisory, business valuation and family office management experience. Ms. Bayless serves on the Board of Directors of Professional Assist Corporation and is Chair of the Audit Committee. Previously, she was Chair of The Denver Foundation Board of Trustees and remains a member of the Investment Committee. Ms. Bayless previously served on the boards of Concepts Direct, Inc., Graland Country Day School, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver, and Scholars Unlimited. She received an MBA degree from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and an undergraduate degree in economics from Princeton University.
