Social Venture Partners Launches Service Leadership Program

Social Venture Partners Denver

Social Venture Partners Denver, a program of the Denver Foundation, launched its Service Leadership program with an inaugural cohort of thirteen senior leaders selected from nonprofits across Metro Denver. The program is being facilitated by SVP Partners Matt Jones and Pat Landrum.

I'm thrilled to take part in Service Leadership. It can be an isolating experience as a nonprofit executive,” says Sam Battan, Founder and Executive Director of Colorado Youth Congress. “This is a chance to be surrounded by other brilliant leaders in the space as we seek to grow our leadership abilities together and positively impact tens of thousands of Coloradans through our programs and services.”

The program is designed as an immersive and interactive leadership growth experience offered to a small cadre of executive leaders who wish to strengthen their leadership skills, deepen their personal impact within their organization, and broaden their professional reach across Denver’s nonprofit t sector.

Mara Kailin, Chief Clinical Officer at the Aurora Mental Health Center, believes the year-long program will provide her a one-of-a-kind opportunity to maximize her potential as a non-profit executive. “By learning alongside colleagues who face similar challenges, and tapping into the collective experience and wisdom of my peers, I believe the program will allow me to grow as a leader and better serve the many Coloradans that depend upon my organization’s services and expertise.”

“We are thrilled to welcome such a high caliber group of leaders into the SVP community,” says Executive Director Rob Kellogg. “We intend to leverage our new Service Leadership program to deepen our network across the city’s nonprofit sector and support local leaders with the ambition and resolve to meet Denver’s most pressing challenges.”
